TECHNOLOGY

At D&B Labs, we deeply believe in technology and it’s ability to enhance your bottom line.  Using the latest and best fit technology will drive your revenue up, attract the best talent and cut costs.

What is a Technologist?

A technologist determines what can be improved in your company and how to incorporate new technology, finds new ways to resolve problems, and further develops various processes. The technician applies those ideas, completes the actual tasks, and troubleshoots and provides general maintenance on equipment.

For twelve years, Chris held multiple positions at WPP.  As CTO for Ogilvy Health (OH) and the Business Partner for the WPP Health & Wellness Group of agencies, Chris deals with all commercial aspects of client and vendor relationships while creating architectural designs to ensure winning solutions are designed correctly, built accurately & delivered precisely.  This calls for detailed industry knowledge of software, hardware, infrastructure & resources in order to deliver, and manage & scale global solutions for clients.  Prior to his existing position as CTO, Chris was the Executive Vice President, CIO for two companies within WPP’s brand portfolio, CommonHealth Worldwide and Chemistry, Chris has served on the 4-member Senior Executive Team and Global Committee to develop the business strategy, set the technology agenda and lead the organizations to achieve triple-digit growth. Assuming control for an underperforming IT organization plagued by inefficient processes, misaligned systems, high operating costs, non-compliancy and weak talent pool, Chris restructured the organization, significantly strengthened team and system performance, enhanced IT service delivery and delivered 34% expense reduction in year-one while supporting approximately 6k users.

Prior to his CIO appointment, Chris held multiple leadership and business development positions within the publishing and manufacturing industries. At HarperCollins, he spearheaded the design and operations for sales, marketing and editorial systems; partnering with the business to develop and launch the Company’s first eCommerce channels—B2E, B2B and B2C—that delivered $43M in new revenue and unprecedented value to its retail distribution partners with the B2B introduction. As an independent IT and business consultant, Chris worked with several companies to accelerate growth and profitability through system modernizations, data mining, product launches, sales and marketing plans and reorganizations.  At Sony Electronics, Chris served on the eCommerce strategy team to develop the business model and launch plans for SonyStyle.com, and pioneered the customer online order/in-store pick-up system with Sears, Best Buy and Circuit City. Additionally, he managed large-scale website design projects for Priceline.com, GAF Materials Corporation and TD Waterhouse.

Chris’ business know-how and entrepreneurial drive were present early on in his career, spurring the launch of his own business, Stonfitness.com. Here, he built an online health & fitness company—one of the first in the space—from the ground up, expanding globally and growing revenue by 50% year-over-year for four consecutive years. Chris also holds three (3) patents for his inventions, “Ez-Glide”: Manhole Cover, “Roll Away”: Manhole Cover Removal Systems, and oRTB DOOH.
